This sculpture was inspired by my experiences of masking as a person with Autism and ADHD. I spent a large portion of my life deeply uncomfortable and suffocated during basic social interactions, and had to put in a large effort to be perceived as "normal". I wanted to create a sculpture that evoked the feeling of discomfort, similar to the discomfort I often used to, and sometimes still do feel.
